There is a Building 14 in France Cluster and a completely different Building 14 in England Cluster, sitting a genuine ten minute drive apart. An address that only says "Building 14, International City" is functionally useless without the cluster name attached, and even taxi drivers who've worked Dubai for years sometimes need a moment to place it correctly.
This isn't a minor inconvenience we mention for colour. It's the single most common reason a first time visitor, whether that's a delivery driver, a taxi, or an unfamiliar moving crew, ends up late or in the wrong place entirely. Every quote we give starts with confirming the cluster name and building number together, out loud, before anything else.
Why the Buildings Themselves Change How We Work
Most International City buildings are ground plus four or five floors. Many have a working lift, but it's often small, sometimes shared with a narrow stairwell, and occasionally out of service on a given day with no advance warning. This is a genuinely different physical environment to a modern Dubai Marina tower with a dedicated service elevator and a booking system. Larger furniture sometimes has to go up a stairwell rather than a lift, which changes how we plan the crew size and timing for a move here compared to elsewhere in the city.
Why Prices Here Are Genuinely Lower, Not Just Advertised That Way
International City is one of the more affordable places to live in Dubai, and that shows up honestly in moving costs too. Units are smaller, buildings are low rise rather than high rise, and there's rarely an elevator booking system or building management fee involved the way there is in newer communities. A studio move here typically costs less than an equivalent move almost anywhere else in the city, and that's a genuine reflection of the job being smaller, not a discount that gets clawed back with hidden fees later.
